Union's board of trustees oversees the strategic direction of our ministries, supporting our vision of seeing the reformation of Christ's church worldwide.

Rev. Sam Ko

Sam Ko is Director of Global Ministries at SaRang Church in Seoul, South Korea. He is the Chair of the Union Foundation Board. Sam is married to Jennifer and they have two sons.

Dr. Gwenfair Walters Adams

Gwenfair Walters Adams is Professor of Church History and Spiritual Formation at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Senior Fellow at Newton House.  She is the author of Visions in Late Medieval England and the Romans 1-8 volume in the Reformation Commentary on Scripture series.  The Welsh-speaking daughter of Welsh parents, she is married to D. Kevin Adams, a pastor and the author of Diary of Revival.

Dr. S. Douglas Birdsall

Doug Birdsall is President and founder of The Civilitas Group. He is also Honorary Chair of the Lausanne Movement, and led the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Cape Town in 2010. Doug and his wife, Jeanine, live in South Hamilton, Massachusetts.

Rev. Mike Tindall

Mike Tindall is the senior pastor at King's Church Chessington. He is married to Melissa and they have five children. A former headhunter, Mike studied at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary before moving to Manchester, where he led Grace Church Manchester from 2009-2021.

Dr. Myung Chul
Daniel Shin

Daniel M. Shin is a venture capitalist, executive scholar, and luxury executive. He has run KingsBay Capital, a cross-border venture capital firm based in San Francisco. Daniel also oversees corporate development at MCM, a German luxury brand, that operates in 40+ countries, and has taught at Korea University on adjunct basis. He has served in various executive and board positions at private and public companies such as KT, Hanwha, CJ and Daesung Group. Daniel resides in Seoul, Korea.

Yun Lee

Yun Lee is currently working for a Korean accounting corporation as a CPA and is also a Vice President of CCFK (Christian Council for Financial Accountability, Korea). He serves SaRang Church as an elder and has been actively involved in the European church planting ministry since 2015.  He with his wife has three children.

Trevor Archer

Trevor Archer is the London Director for the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC). He is married to Valerie, and they have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. He was previously pastor at The King`s Church Chessington for 25 years and Training Director for FIEC and has been active in church planting and revitalisation as well as training gospel workers.

Dr. Ernest Edem Edifor

Dr Ernest Edem Edifor is a Reader in Digital Education at the Manchester Metropolitan University where he serves as the Director of the Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) degree apprenticeship. He leads various research projects in the UK and internationally and serves as the director for a Ghana-based charity Demfa Organisation that supports students from under-resourced backgrounds.

Solomon Kim

Solomon is the Founder and CEO of Kitchen Food Fair and ServiceMaster. He serves as an elder at Capstone Presbyterian Church in Toronto and currently is serving as the board director of CBMC Canada and CBMC International and formerly, was Chairman of the Korean North American branch. Solomon and his wife Sue have three adult children and recently welcomed their first grandson in 2022.
He is passionate about Union’s involvement in supporting church planting across Europe through Union Mission and hopes to encourage this by serving on the Union Board.

Mrs. Sung-Joo Kim

Ms. Sung-Joo Kim, Chairperson and Chief Visionary Officer of MCM, is regarded as a leading luxury brand pioneer, successful female entrepreneur and passionate philanthropist with strong ethics. Ms. Kim has received various accolades, including Global Leader of Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum at Davos (1997), Forbes Top 50 Asian Business Women (2012), and Fortune Asia’s 25 Hottest CEOs (2012). She was honored to become receive OBE (Order of the British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom (2015). Ms. Kim served as President of Korean Red Cross for three years (2014-2017). In addition, Ms. Kim firmly believes in women's economic empowerment and has proactively supported the Global Summit of Women as a key member of the IPC (Int'l Planning Committee) through SUNGJOO Foundation. 

 

Rev. Steve Levy

Steve Levy is married to Clare and has three children and one grandchild.  He is the pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Swansea which is part of the FIEC. He is the author of Bible Overview. Mount Pleasant Baptist church started the Reading the Bible Together scheme, known as RBT, in 2008 where the whole church reads and shares the Bible together every three years.  The scheme is used in hundreds of churches across the world.
