Happy Reformation Day!

31/10/2014

On October 31st 1517, Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of Wittenberg Castle church. It was an iconic moment that's seen as the 'spark that lit the fuse' of the Reformation.

Amongst other things, it's thanks to this movement that we have the clear conviction that we're saved by faith in Christ alone. As Luther put it, 'the believing soul, by the pledge of its faith in Christ, becomes free from all sin, fearless of death, safe from hell, and endowed with the eternal righteousness, life, and salvation of its Husband Christ.' It doesn't get much better than that!

To celebrate the rediscovery of this wonderful truth in the Reformation, we'd love to point you towards the resources below. Also, make sure you're following us on Twitter for Reformation treats throughout the day.

Luther's little booklet about the gospel is an unmissable read.
